Wow! I made an error. It seems to have made the day of several of the weirder posters.

Have that one on me guys!

As for ,

A hilarious comment. All the better for him repeating it several times.

Just wait till we get a few pages further into the thread when no one can be bothered trawling back, Surface, and you can start pretending you never said any of it.

CU had every reason to be unaware of the contents of the letter.

Ah, OK. He obviously had no reason to be aware of the letter at all, then

Surface being wrong yet again? Unthinkable.

Chuka Umunna's father Bennett, who was a Nigerian of the Igbo ethnic group, died in a road accident in Nigeria in 1992. His mother, Patricia, is a solicitor and the daughter of Irish-born High Court judge Sir Helenus Milmo.

The Igbo are primarily Christian

He's not a muslim.

Re: Furious Chuka Umunna storms out of Sky News interview
Are you seriously suggesting Umunna, a senior Labour Party politician and muslim, hadn't read this letter? It was published a day before.

It is the interviewers job to show up the interviewee if he is being evasive (or is clearly lying), as Umunna was.

We could do with a lot more of this from interviewers when confronted with intelligence insulting bullshit - and that goes for interviewees from all parties.

Re: Furious Chuka Umunna storms out of Sky News interview
Chuka Umuna was right because the interviewer was obviously a twat ive watched it and he tries to make Chuka look lightweight.

Would any of you comment on a Tottenham fans letter about reaching out to West Ham fans before reading it.

The Conservatives would not give Labour an inch yet we expect Labours Mp's to kiss Tory butt without any scrutinising that is not going to happen if you are a decent Labour MP.

As for the letter i thought it was fair and balanced nothing for anyone or any Muslim to get stupid about but as i have said many times Terrorists are not created in Mosques Muslims are.

I think it's fair to say that what you would regard as liberal, most would regard as hard-left. That's what he describes himself as, anyway.

Umunna could well be Britain's first black PM. I'd vote for him and he'd already make a better job of it than Miliband.

Guy from the Muslim Council of Britain on C4 News last night admitted they'd commented on the letter without having read it, he squirmed and squirmed. Also curious that the current imam at Finsbury Park was interviewed in the mosque, cross-legged on the mat but wearing civvies rather than clerical garb.

I've noticed a liberal bias in his books - which are still excellent reads.

Why did you think Marr is a Liberal? I notice we have moved away from Tory, at least.

I thought Marr was a Liberal. Robinson is a blatant Tory slaphead though.

Andrew Marr a Tory. That would be news to him. he's a self-confessed ex-communist extreme left-winger.

The BBC have been so far up the Coalition's arse it''s been farcical. And when the witch Maggie finally became worm food, they treated her as if she had been a fucking saint.

Funny, then, that the left wing relies on thick northern retards to keep voting for them every four years, isn't it.

BBC - Andrew Marr and Nick Robinson both Tories as was Jeremy Paxman.
